Products I use on face, body, & hair

I always get messages from people asking me what type of products I use or ask for my skincare routine, so I decided to write about my favorites! These products are natural, cruelty-free, paraben free, sulfate free, vegan, and affordable. -CLICK ON THE BRAND NAME FOR DIRECT LINKS-

HAIR:

For a very long time, I didn’t pay much attention to what shampoo and conditioner I bought. I usually just got whatever looked good and smelled good. BIG mistake. My hair was always so dry and brittle. I couldn’t understand why until I paid attention to the ingredients in the stuff I was using. Thankfully, I am no longer just buying whatever and actually have 2 favorites now! NOTE: It’s important to be consistent with hair products you use. Constantly changing it can damage your hair even more.

  • ORLANDO PITA ARGAN GLOSS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER – I buy these in bulk every time I go to Costco because there isn’t any nearby in San Francisco. Make sure to buy both because that’s when it works best. Both the shampoo and conditioner are my holy grail. Online and in other stores they run for about $22 ea, but in Costco, they are $17 ea. (cruelty-free, paraben free, sulfate free, vegan)
  • GARNIER FRUCTIS – When I am on a low-budget or just can’t access Costco I opt to Garnier Fructis hair shampoo and conditioner. I usually stick with the “Aloe Vera” type but depending on what your hair type is you can get a different type/scent. Their hair brand is amazing because it’s really affordable and accessible mostly anywhere! I buy mine at Target for about $7. (cruelty-free, paraben free, sulfate free, vegan)

FACIAL SCRUBS:

  • ACURE BRIGHTENING FACIAL SCRUB – I use this every 2-3 weeks! I don’t recommend using daily because the scrub can damage your pores and do more harm than good. If you wear heavy makeup on a daily basis I would probably do it once every week. HIGHLY recommend this scrub! Ever since I found this scrub I’ve stuck with it. I get mine at Target for $10. (Gluten-free, phthalate-free, no fragrance added, paraben-free, contains kelp, butylparaben-free, formaldehyde donor-free, formaldehyde-free, nonylphenol ethoxylate free, propylparaben-free, Sulfate-free, paraben-free, fluoride-free, vegan, dye-free, aluminum-free)

MAKEUP REMOVER AND CLEANSER:

PACIFICA KALE DETOX FACE WASH –   THIS IS SERIOUSLY MY GO TO EVERY MORNING AND EVERY NIGHT. It’s gentle enough for everyday use and gets the job done while not giving your skin all those chemicals most makeup removers or cleansers do. I really love everything about Pacifica and have used other products from them, but this one is the one I buy all the time. All my life I’ve used makeup removing wipes but once I discovered this I stopped. Makeup removing wipes have long-term consequences like wrinkles and scarring. Most don’t even take all your makeup off! Give this face wash + cleanser a try for $10. (100% Vegan and Cruelty-free, Formulated without animal testing, animal ingredients, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil and petroleum)

DEODORANT:

PACIFICA DEODORANT WIPES – So for most of the year I live in San Francisco. It’s always cloudy, hardly hot. I am also the type that does not easily sweat or smell. Deodorant, in my opinion, is really unnecessary. (At least for people like me) I use these wipes in the morning and I am set for the day! I love them because that means less harmful chemicals on my body and is a natural way to keep myself smelling good. I buy mine at ULTA or Target for $9. (100% Vegan and Cruelty-free, Formulated without SLS, sulfates, parabens, and petroleum)

TOM’S OF MAINE ANTIPERSPIRANTS AND DEODORANT – Even though I use the Pacifica wipes, I also do keep a deodorant handy for when I am going to the gym or hike. I love Tom’s because they smell good and are natural! I buy mine at Target for $5. (No artificial fragrances or preservatives, no animal ingredients, not tested on animals)

BAR SOAP:

THAYERS BODY BARS – Love this bar because it doesn’t irritate my skin or leave it dry. Target or Whole Foods for $5. Available in different scents. (Sulfate-free, formaldehyde-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, dye-free, aluminum-free)

TOM’S OF MAINE BODY SOAP –  If I can’t find the Thayer’s body bars or they are out of stock, I go for this one! Does the same thing and leaves my body feeling super soft. Find it at Target for $5. (No artificial colors, fragrances or preservatives, no animal ingredients, not tested on animals)

& that is it!

Thank you for reading and I hope you check some of these out! Even if you don’t, I hope that you take baby steps by looking at the ingredients of all the products you use. ✽
